NairobiNational Park: Attraction –Lions, Cheetah and the Black Rhino.
This park is only 10 kilometre from Nairobi City Centre and covers 117square kilometres.
LakeNaivasha: Attraction – Estimated to have about 400 species of birds.
It covers 68 square kilometres.
LakeNakuruNational Park: Attraction – Estimated to have over one million Flamingos, Giraffe, Rhino, Lion, Leopard and a few Buffalo.
Lake Baringo: Attraction – Extinct Volcano 50 metres high above the lake forms an un-ordinary Island - Ol Kokwa Island, Hipppos, crocodiles and over 200 species of birds including the Pelicans are all found here..
LakeBogoria: Attraction- Hot springs of water and mud, Flamingos and the Greater Kudu.
Mt KenyaNational Park: Attraction - Mt Kenya which stands at 5199 metres high is great for Mountain climbing, with different routes. The lower level has wild animals like elephants, rhino, buffalo and bongo shusvuck different species of monkeys.
AmboseliNational Park: Attraction - Mt Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa stands alone majestically at 5899 meters high. It is the home of Lion, elephant, leopard, cheetah and buffalo. It covers 392 square kilometres.
MasaiMaraNational Park: Attraction - The great annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara River. With 1520 square kilometres of wilderness this park is home to different wildlife with over 400 species of birds recorded as well.
MarsabitNational Park: Attraction - Large elephants with tusks of over 45 kilograms each and the greater Kudu. It covers 1132 square kilometres.
MeruNational Park: Covers 870 square kilometres.
This is the where Elsa the tamed lioness by Joy Adamson was returned to wildness. On clear mornings, the snow capped Mt Kenya can be seen from the south west. It also has a beautiful sunset view over the Nyambene range. Hippos, crocodiles and monkeys are common. It is green through out the year with fifteen rivers running through from the melting snow of Mt Kenya all the way to the Tana River.
Maralal Game Reserve: This is in Northern Kenyan one travels through breathtaking views of landscapes through a wild country side. You may see buffalos, zebras, impala, leopards and occasional elephants.
Samburu Game Reserve: Covers 165 square kilometres located in North Eastern of Kenya. You may see the rare Grevy Zebra and the long Necked Gerenuk. Hippos and Crocodiles are heavily populated here. Elephants come in herds to drink water in the Ewaso Nyiro River where the river is wide and shallow.
Shaba & Buffalo Springs Game Reserve: Adjacent to each other Joy Adamson wrote her books from the Shaba. The Buffalo springs is popular with sand grouse and doves due to the fresh water pools and streams, it also has a galaxy smaller birds. The name is taken from an oasis of limpid crystal clear water.
GedeNational Park: Located on the Kenyan Coast dates back to the 13th century. Muslims are the dominant people here.
TsavoNational Park: At 20,700 square kilometres it is the largest park in East and Central Africa and is divided into two Tsavo East and Tsavo West. It is the home to all Kenyas wildlife. The strange Mzima Springs Oasis is found here where an underwater observation chamber has been built for the viewing of hippos and crocodiles as they move under water in their own world.
Shimba Hills: Attraction the rare Sable and Roan antelopes, Birds, Elephants and a few Lions and Leopards.
