First, your wildlife tour begins in Kenya with a visit to Lake Nakuru National Park, a special destination with the highest concentrations of pink flamingos and plenty of animal species.

This park lies along the Great Rift Valley floor dominated by wooded and bushy grassland where its diverse ecological species survive.

Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake and truly a birder’s haven including flamingos, speckled pigeon, red-eyed dove, emerald spotted wood dove, and more.

You will have a combined birding experience and big 5 game encounters plus great migration experience from Masai Mara, Serengeti and finalize with exploration in the world’s wonder -Ngorongoro Crater.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru NP

Meet your safari leader at the hotel in Nairobi as early as 7:30am and get briefed about this amazing 10 days safari in Kenya and Tanzania.

After, your first visit will be made to the spectacular Lake Nakuru National Park, expecting to get there early to check in at the lodge and have lunch.

In the afternoon, you will embark on a memorable guided game drive and myriad of mammals and avifaunal species will be spotted.

Your sightings will encompass species such as the Rothschild giraffes, black rhinos, and lots of birds including flamingos, pelicans, tawny eagles, and more.

Day 2: Birding excursion & depart for Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, you will leave the lodge for a special birding experience in Lake Nakuru National Park with a chance to also keep eyes on early morning risers while they become active.

Besides flamingos, you will come across several of ospreys, African fish eagles, green wood hoopoes, pink backed pelicans, and others.

Later, you will continue up to Lake Naivasha where more than 450 species of birds survive.

Day 3: Explore the Crescent Island & drive to Maasai Mara

A hot cup of tea or coffee will be had in the morning and after, set off for Crescent Island Game Sanctuary. You will take a short boat ride to the distinct Crescent Island Sanctuary where you will find elands, waterbucks, impalas, zebras, giraffes and also many birds like fish eagles.

After your exploration in Naivasha, set off to Masai Mara. This nature reserve holds profusion of wildlife including rhinos, cape buffaloes, lions, zebras, elephants.

At Masai Mara, you will have an afternoon game drive to look out some of the diverse animal species in this protected area.

Day 4: Enjoy a full day game viewing tour

Depart from your wilderness camp or lodge for an exciting game drive taking you all day long. This being your special day, you wouldn’t want to leave out anything.

Expect to come across the big five game, cheetahs, giraffes, topis, impalas, jackals, bat-eared foxes, rhinos, hyenas, and more.

If your excursion falls within July to September, Don’t miss out on the Great migration experience -the major highlight of all tours in Maasai Mara.

Day 5: Masai Mara -Serengeti to see more wildlife

You will be picked up from your respective camps or lodges and cross to Serengeti National Park. Today’s journey will bring sights of Mara as you exit and drive via Isebania to access Tanzania’s Serengeti NP.

Day 6: Full day in the savanna plains of Serengeti

Enjoy early breakfast and start your day through the vast Serengeti NP a 14736sq.km protected area. At Serengeti, your main highlights.

Will include observing the great migration consisting of millions of wildebeest, gazelles, elands, zebras, and also watch other small and large mammals.

Including the big five game -elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, lions, leopards and also birds. Being a full day excursion, lunch will be enjoyed within the lodge.

Then continue with afternoon session till you return to the camp for dinner.

Day 7: Bush walk experience & Maasai homestead visits

Start your morning with a rewarding guided walks led by an experienced guide.

On this day, you will be exploring the remotest part of the park that safari vehicles don’t reach.

While spotting some of small mammals and other species including birds.

After, you will get back and relax, enjoy lunch at leisure Then next will be touring the Maasai homesteads where great entertainment from locals will be part of your experience in addition to exploring their unique traditions and cultures.

Day 8: Serengeti -Ngorongoro

Today, you will be leaving Serengeti for Ngorongoro with early morning game drive.

See what you missed during the previous game viewing sessions. It is at Ngorongoro where the world’s largest intact caldera is found.

Ngorongoro Crater and also contains the big five game plus several other species.

En-route, you will have a stopover visit at Olduvai Gorge to explore remains of mankind.

Continue to Ngorongoro arriving early before darkness falls.

Day 9: Explore the Ngorongoro Crater & big five

After breakfast, you will begin your full day excursion in the Crater and ensure you have some packed lunch.

Your guide will provide detailed information about this crater and also.

You will be in position to locate diversity of wildlife species.

Day 10: Depart

Today, you will enjoy your cup of tea/coffee at leisure and depart for Arusha.

At Arusha, get dropped off at the airport or hotel and this concludes your long 10 day safari.
