4-Day Masai Mara Safari: Ultimate Wildlife and Cultural Experience

This 4 days Masai Mara safari takes you to the untouched wilderness and whispers of Africa. Masai Mara reserve is an extension of Serengeti national park in the republic of Tanzania, and a co-host of the world’s largest animal movement; the annual wildebeest migration. The reserve is loved by nature photographers because of the vast concentration of prey and predators; the stunning landscape, and Mara River. It is situated in the eastern part of Kenya, Narok village at the Great Rift Valley network.

This will be a road trip at the countryside thus a connection with the rural lifestyle of the Kenyan people.
Within the four days, you will connect with Mother Nature, taste African cuisine, explore rural life, and lookout for your favorite animals. Activities include; game drive, photography, nature walk, city tour and a cultural experience with the Masai warriors. Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Nairobi city tour

Our company representative will gladly on you at the airport with the ply-card inscribed on your name. Upon landing and clearing with the immigration department, meet and be briefed on how the safari will go, some facts about Kenya, and Masai Mara.

Thereafter, you will be driven to the hotel to check-in and refresh from the journey. Lunch will be next after the rest, and a city tour, where you will visit the shopping centers, the Museum, and other historical sites around the busy city. At sunset, there will local cuisine experience for dinner around town, and then a drive back to the lodge for a night stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Masai Mara

Wakeup to a delicious breakfast meal at the lodge. Thereafter, you will embark on a scenic 6-7 hour drive to Kenya’s most visited national park. Masai Mara is also an extension of Serengeti national park of Tanzania and a co-host of the annual wildebeest migration.

From Narok to your accommodation overlooking the park is largely maram, and takes approximately two hours, with your eyes meeting the Masai community. After arriving, you will register at the gate, and then proceed to your lodge for refreshment, dinner and a peaceful sleep.

Day 3: Game drive and Masai cultural tour

At 06:30 hrs you will greet start the game drive, guided by an expert ranger guide who will explain the facts about the park, life, name, characters and habitat of the different birds, primates and animals. It is an open wilderness, where you need luck to encounter hunters such as lions, cheetah, wild dogs, leopards, and hyenas that are present at the park.

Some of the common animals include antelope species, warthogs, gazelles, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, impalas, crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, elephants, and more. You may also encounter among others reptiles, the birds such as the egrets, giraffes and ostrich; the primates such as the Baboons. After game drive, have a bush breakfast, and thereafter return to the lodge for Lunch.

In the cool evening, you will share moments with the Masai warriors, with whom you will have a community guided walk to the manyattas an kraals, story tell and dance to the Masai songs. The Masai culture is one of the most powerful and authentic in the African continent and very entertaining. They have still carried on with their ritual practices and cattle rearing as of the past. End this day with dinner and a night stay.

Day 4: Departure

After having a relaxed breakfast meal at the lodge. You will checkout with an exit game viewing for a transfer drive to the agreed drop-off point. The journey time is about 6-7 hours, with an enroute stopover for a surprise site-seeing opportunity and delicious breakfast.
