This safari is to two of east Africa’s amazing safari destinations. You will visit Bwindi impenetrable national park in the south western part of Uganda for an encounter with your cousins – mountain gorillas.
Afterwards, cross the border to the Magical Kenya for the Big5 (lions, leopards, Rhinos, Buffaloes, and elephants) citing at Masai Mara reserve. It is a road trip which commences at Entebbe international airport, and ends at Nairobi Kenya. There is Great Ugandan and Kenyan vibes, food, accommodation, weather and transportation. You will fall in love with the green vegetation, local cuisines, and friendly people.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and stay in Kampala
Arrive at Entebbe international airport with the stunning view of Lake Victoria; the largest fresh water lake in Africa. You will clear with the immigration, and then meet our company representative for briefing. Transfer to your hotel around Kampala for check-in and refreshments.
End this day with dinner and overnight at the hotel. Any activity today depends on your arrival time, and how willing you are. Kampala is the capital city of Uganda. It is a vibrant place, with a lot of trade and entertainment taking place in its different corners. It is a safe place worth exploring!
Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable NP
At 06:30 hours, you will have breakfast served as the day begins. Follow the meal with a transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park from 07:00 hrs. This journey takes about 8-9 hours, with an enroute stopover at the equator with site seeing and Lunch. The equator is an imaginary line that runs through thirteen countries in the world and divides the earth into the northern and southern hemisphere.
After watching the experts demonstrate what happens at the line the earth is divided, you will proceed with the drive to the sector in which your gorilla trekking adventure will take place. The drive comes with stunning views of beautiful landscapes, lush plantations, homesteads and busy towns. Upon arriving at the lodge, you will retire to bed for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Gorilla trekking
Start your day with a mouthwatering breakfast at the lodge by 06:00 hrs. Following that will be a departure to the park for a pre-trekking briefing which commences at exactly 07:00 hours, for roughly 30 minutes. The briefing session involve document verification, allocation to one of the different Gorilla families in the sector, explanation of the trekking dos and don’ts, and more.
Later the 1-8 hours’ trekking session starts, first visiting the place where the gorilla family was last spotted, then a walk through the bushes deep in the forest. There is no definite route to follow, and none should be created, a reason for limiting the number of trekkers to eight. You will also have the opportunity of identifying different plants species, primates, birds and the forest mammals. Upon finding the Apes, you will spend an hour with them; watching their playful nature, listening to the over 25 sounds, taking photos, watch the mother nurse their young ones, and have a glance at the gentle silver back- the family head.
Lunch will be in the forest, and then a late return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. If the trekking ends early, you may blend the experience with the tour of Batwa community; former hunters and gatherers at the forest. These are also reported as one of the shortest people on earth. End your day with dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Fly to Nairobi Kenya
Wakeup to a tasty breakfast meal at the Lodge. Thereafter you will meet our company representative who will drive for your flight at Entebbe international airport; a 7-8 hour scenic drive to the magical Kenya. Enroute, you will have a stopover for lunch at Kampala city, and then proceed to Entebbe international airport for the flight.
Upon landing in Kenya, you will meet and greet our company representative after clearance with the immigration authorities. There will be a briefing on the dos and don’ts in Kenya, facts about Kenya and more. Afterwards, proceed for check-in, refreshment, dinner and a nap at the hotel.
Day 5: Nairobi to Masai Mara NR
After having a mouthwatering cup of coffee, you will checkout of the hotel for a transfer to Masai Mara reserve, a 3-4 hours’ drive, with stunning views of the landscape, plantations, the Masai warriors, and more.
Have an enroute stopover at the Great Rift Valley for photography and some rest, next stop is Narok town for lunch. After lunch, proceed with the drive, with views of the Masai settlements, kraals and plantations. You will arrive at the lodge and check-in in the evening for dinner and a night stay.
Day 6: Full day game drive
At 6:30am, the first game drive is done; taking about 6-7 hours, with chances of encountering among others; the cats such as the lions, cheetah, leopards, hyenas, and more. More to the list include the wild dogs, Oribis, zebras, buffalos, elephants, ostriches, flamingos, giraffes, wildebeests, reptiles, waterbuck, primates, unique plant species, vultures and more.
The game drive session lasts for about 3-4 hours, followed by bush breakfast and Lunch break. At about 16:00 hrs local time, there will be the last session of game drive and photography. This is when you capture the beautiful sunset view, watch the grazers find a safe place to spend the night, and also you to encounter some/most of those animals you missed out during the morning game drive session.
There is no guarantee on what will come your way, though what is clear are there is a lot to spot here. Masai Mara is a co-host of the annual wildebeest migration; the largest land animal movement on earth, with the climax witnessed at the Mara River which is invested with school of hippos, school of crocodiles, and more. This is one place featured in so many nature documentaries. At sunset, you will retire to bed after dinner and sleep.
Day 7: Departure
After enjoying a mouthwatering breakfast at the lodge, check-out for a transfer journey to Nairobi-Kenya. This is a great drive, with stunning citing of the lush vegetation, stunning landscape, and the Great Rift Valley.
The chants of the Masai warriors will see you off the home of big 5 in a special way. You will have lunch enroute, surprise site seeing opportunities and stories from the driver guide and more.
End of safari
